the giveaway ends January 5th at 10am PST, so get yourself in the running before then! I’ll be picking 3 winners (three whole chances to win!!!). you’ll win a sweatshirt in your preferred size, but the color you’ll receive will be chosen randomly by me (you can say which color you want in the tags or w/e but there’s no guarantee, only the poss/probability that i am sometimes highly suggestible. so have at it).
rules:
- reblog this post
- as many times as you want, idc
- wait patiently for the contest to end
- follow me if you feel like it. i’m awesome, but it won’t affect your ability to win a cool prize.

Yeah, Gandhi was an unbelievably selfish individual. My biggest reason for losing respect for him, though, was that he criticized the Jews for defending themselves against the Holocaust — he insisted that they should have committed public mass suicide in order to “shame” the Germans instead of fighting back.

…. In order to shame the Germans? WTF? The Germans wouldn’t’ve been shamed - they’d’ve been thrilled to get their way so easily!

Gandhi’s exact words were: “But the Jews should have offered themselves to the butcher’s knife. They should have thrown themselves into the sea from cliffs. As it is, they succumbed anyway in their millions.” He also wrote an open letter to the British people in 1940 telling them to surrender to the Axis even if it meant accepting genocide:
“I would like you to lay down the arms you have as being useless for saving you or humanity. You will invite Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini to take what they want of the countries you call your possessions. Let them take possession of your beautiful island, with your many beautiful buildings. You will give all these but neither your souls, nor your minds. If these gentlemen choose to occupy your homes, you will vacate them. If they do not give you free passage out, you will allow yourself, man, woman and child, to be slaughtered, but you will refuse to owe allegiance to them.”

he was also anti-black (lost all respect for him after reading how he treated sub-saharan africans).

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MY ENTIRE LIFE THANK YOU
I CANNOT FUCKING STAND THE WAY HE IS PORTRAYED
HE WAS AN ABUSER WHO HIT HIS WIFE AND HIS DAUGHTERS ALSO
(via oliveseraphim)
He also refused his wife medication that would have saved her life [for religious reasons], but when he himself was in a similar position decided that it was okay to make an exception.
(via madgastronomer)
He was extremely misogynist, in fact he undermined any progress that might have been made in women’s rights in India. He was also racist against Black people in South Africa. He was deeply hypocritical in many ways.

I reblogged this picture yesterday but I love it. Stone cold.
she just looks like “get up off the floor you embarrassing twat”
Yo that shit was a big deal back then. “No fault” divorces weren’t as accessible as they are today.
If he was at fault for divorce, the judge would most likely order everything to her- house, car, alimony, EVERYTHING. Dude fucked up and he knows it, and she knows she’s fucking set.
Licia Ronzulli, member of the European Parliament, has been taking her daughter Vittoria to the Parliament sessions for two years now.
Every time this is on my dash, it’s an automatic reblog.
Life. There’s always a way to make it work.
This woman runs PARLIAMENT with a baby in her lap and she’s CLEARLY doing an outstanding job because she’s still there being a total boss two years later, baby still in her lap.
“A baby will destroy your career-”
Really
Are you sure?
Because I’m pretty sure that Licia Ronzulli would laugh at that declaration.
Okay but real talk that baby probably knows politics better than a lot of Senators by now
90s info brochures are generally painfully corny but this one is perty on point
This would be the only thing in recorded history that I would take seriously while printed in Comic Sans.
Wow! I think I posted this originally over a year ago?most successful post I’ve put up I believe!
Also it is comic sans I believe because it is the text style easiest to read for people with certain disabilities.

Skippy (1931)
In order to get Jackie Cooper to show genuine sorrow and cry believably on the set of Skippy, the director ordered a stage hand to take Cooper’s dog behind the studio and pretend to shoot it. The take was so believable he was nominated for Best Actor. Of course, it was revealed after the scene was shot that his dog was fine, but the event left a lasting impact on him.
Oh man I remember one time on set we had to get this kid to cry on command and he couldn’t and his mom wasn’t there to help him so the director went up to him and whispered something in the kids ear and the kid started bawling.
After we got the shots and calmed the kid down, I asked what he said.
He told the kid his mom got into a car accident and is in critical condition at the hospital.
Thought one of my favorite blogs sixpenceee might be interested, I woke up this morning with these photos on my phone. I didn’t take them myself, there’s no lights in my room that would make these shapes (and they were all off anyways), and my phone was plugged in on the other side of the room. The first two are unedited the unedited photos, the second two are brightened up.
Adults on Facebook: “Be the change you wish to see in the world”
Us: *protests injustice*
Adults: Not like that.
FUCKING LITERALLY.
What I’m dealing with right now.
